Update 10Oct2025: We have received no response from Petrified Forest Administrators to indicate
if we will be allowed to hold our events at the park even if the government remains shutdown.
There is a risk that we'll have to cancel the events. We plan an alternative event in the
Phoenix area if we're not allowed to have our events at Petrified Forest.
We'll make a final decision on or before Tuesday night, October 14. We'll hope for the best.

Update 05Oct2025: Due to the government shutdown, there's a risk we would have to cancel the Petrified Forest events.
We don't have a final decision from the national park administration. Their initial communications
indicate we might not be able to hold events in the park, either because of park closure or because
of limited staffing to respond to unforeseen emergencies. We'll do our best to hold the events as
planned. Many of you have planned long trips to join us. We'll keep you informed of the status.
